Reused Plant Fried Oil: A Case Study with Home-Made Soaps

نویسندگان

چکیده

The study aimed to analyze the possibility of waste frying oil utilization in home-made soap production. Soaps were made from unheated and fried rapeseed, sunflower palm oils that had total polar material (TPM) values up 24%. Physicochemical microbial analyses performed on produced samples check their quality. hardness increased with degradation level rapeseed oils, opposite findings obtained for sunflower-made soaps. highest malondialdehyde (MDA) contents recorded oil-made samples, maximum 6.61 µg/g, lowest 0.94 µg/g. antimicrobial assessment showed no significant (p > 0.05) differences between control soaps TPM value. Gram-positive bacteria (methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus: MRSA) most sensitive chosen microorganisms, compared Gram-negative yeasts. results did not show exact experimentally or oils; these highlight potential production this byproduct.

Efficacy of commercial formulas in comparison with home-made formulas for enteral feeding: A critical review

Background: In several disease conditions, patients must inevitably be nourished by enteral feeding (EF). Though in many countries, commercial formulas are routinely used for EF, in Iran still home-made formulas are commonly employed as commercial formulas are not covered by insurance. This may pose patients to malnutrition and bring about further costs.  The aim of this study was to evalu...

The case for plant-made veterinary immunotherapeutics.

The excessive use of antibiotics in food animal production has contributed to resistance in pathogenic bacteria, thereby triggering regulations and consumer demands to limit their use. Alternatives for disease control are therefore required that are cost-effective and compatible with intensive production. While vaccines are widely used and effective, they are available against a minority of ani...
